Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Since the response to a suggested study group for Sunday evenings has been positive, we will begin our Fall schedule of prayer and study on Sunday evening, September 19th at 7:00 P.M. at the house in Boalsburg (124 North Church Street.) We will start the examination of David Bentley Hart's book Atheist Delusions immediately following the service of Little Compline. As we have done in the past, we will try to be sure that everyone can be on the way home by around 8:30 P.M.
As I informed you earlier, given my travel abroad obligations this Fall, we will compress the Fall study to the period from September 19 to October 24. As we finish this study, if you wish to resume an Advent study beginning on November 28th, that should be possible.
Some have indicated an interest in pursuing some contemporary ethical problems and issues, and I do have a suggestion for a text that might be good for that. Let's plan on discussing this as the Fall study progresses.
Please don't hesitate to invite anyone who is interested--Orthodox or non-Orthodox to join us.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr.Deacon Gregory
Diakonissa Patricia
